Gelatin Finings work by exhibiting a positive charge when combined with water. This means that when introduced to your beer or wine the gelatin will bond with negatively charged particles and help drop them out of solution. When the negatively and positively charged particles bond together they become heavier and precipitate faster, thus leaving your wine or beer crystal clear!
Gelatin is most effective on negatively charged particles like proteins!
Usage rate: Use 1/2 teaspoon per 5 gallons of beer, 1 teaspoon per 6 gallons of wine
