A lack of nutrients can lead to a sluggish fermentation, off flavors, high residual sweetness, and an otherwise unsatisfactory beverage. Wyeast’s Wine Nutrient provides the building blocks for life that aren’t found in simple fruit juices or honey. We tell our customers that yeast couldn’t live off just grapes, apples, or honey any more than people can!
Use 1/2 tsp (2.2 grams) per 5 gallons of must and dissolve in warm water prior to adding.
