Our hop rhizomes are all sourced from small farms practicing organic methods and local to the Southeast. These rhizomes are already acclimated to the Southern region and as such perform very well with heat, humidity, and disease/pest pressures.

Galena has long been one of the highest used bittering varietals in America.  Topping out at 15% alpha acid and known for its clean and neutral character.  It also has some nice aromatic qualities, contributing notes of peach, pear, citrus, spicy notes, and currant. 

Climate: Performs well in temperate areas
Yield: a moderate yielding hop
Growth Rate: Good growth once established
Harvest: Early-midseason
Disease/Pest Susceptibility: Powdery Mildew, Prunus necrotic ring-spot virus, aphids 
Disease Resistance: Downey Mildew and Verticillium wilt
Storage: Very good storage hop

The quintessential American hop. Features a pleasant, flowery and spicy, citrus-like aroma. Good for flavor and aroma, but an acceptable bittering hop known to impart a clean and neutral character. Very likely the most popular hop in North America and highly popularized by Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.  

Climate: Widely adapted to most climates
Yield: Low to moderate yielding hop
Growth Rate: Depending on conditions, moderate to very good
Harvest: harvest Midseason
Disease/Pest Susceptibility: Aphids 
Disease Resistance: Downy & Powdery Mildew
Storage: Poor storage hop
