Description
Potassium metabisulphite is often used in winemaking for a wide variety of applications. It can act as a surface sanitizer, it can be used to kill off wild yeast, and it can be used to prevent spoilage. Potassium metabisulfite bonds to oxygen in wind in order to prevent oxidation related spoilage over time.
Sanitizer - use 2 oz per 1-Gal of water
Antioxidant and bactericide - use 1/4 teaspoon to 6 gallons. Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding.
