African Market Baskets

African Market Baskets™ works directly with artisans and families located in Ghana in order to source these beautiful handmade products. African Market Baskets™ are strong, durable, colorful and completely hand-made. Each basket is unique, super functional, and vibrantly colored. They are made using a type of river grass known as “elephant grass” and produced by local weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana. The baskets featuring leather handles are wrapped in goat skin for comfort and durability. The leather is naturally tanned using local seeds and red millet.
