Description
Columbus is sometimes referred to as 'CTZ' due to the fact that it is also known as Tomahawk and Zeus. It has an excellent bittering capability as it was bred for, but craft brewers have also harnessed CTZ’s intense, citrus-and-spice pungence for American-style IPAs. It's sensory profile is powerful and striking, displaying oily fresh citrus and wild herbal character; dry hopping can bring out pine and spice.
Aroma: Citrus, herb, spice, pine needles
Usage: Mostly bittering, but contributes desirable aromatics if used in late additions
